BRIGHT ORANGE 2, BRIGHTLINE’S FINAL TRAINSET FOR THE ORLANDO EXTENSION PROJECT ARRIVES IN ORLANDO

ORLANDO, FL – Brightline has welcomed a special delivery. “Bright Orange 2” arrived at Brightline’s Vehicle Maintenance Facility in Orlando this weekend after a 10-day cross country journey from the Siemens rolling stock facility in Sacramento, California. 

 

Bright Orange 2 completes the Brightline fleet of 10 trains and is the last of five new trains to arrive in Florida in the past 18 months in preparation for the opening of the Brightline Orlando station.

 

Bright Orange 2 weighed in at whopping 643 tons and measured 556 ft long. In addition to the two locomotives and four coaches, an extra locomotive also arrived with this delivery, which will be used to replace locomotives that are undergoing repair or maintenance.
